Congratulations to George Robbins and trainer Rob Gilker Herbie D was named champion 3 year old BC bred for 2011.Another champion born and raised at White House Stables.
We’ve been breeding for 27 years, and selling in the annual thoroughbred auction since we quit training in 1993. In that time we’ve raced & sold horses for the track. They have made over 400 starts averaging over 20 starts per horse, winning 44 races and in the money 40% of starts [158 times] whilst earning over $830K We’ve also foaled & raised some great runners for clients, with similar strong results. We take a pride in doing a very good job.

Our mares.
Mascaretta, by Regal Remark out of Expo Princess, Barn name, Maggie
She foaled a Cause to Believe colt in 2011, called Magnum. He is beautiful and quite the athlete, and is back in foal to Sercond in Command.
Her foals are all multiple winners, including BC champion at 2 & 3 Ookashada, sadly her fillies both died, Stakes placed Ookster after contracting the flu virus at Hastings, in 2009, Her Dramatic Show filly never had the opportunity to race after dying in a pasture accident.
Aces over Queens by Silver Deputy out of Call Me Barn name- Precious
she foaled a Second In Command colt Dylan on April 6th This mare has grown enormously since arriving last spring & her calm, sweet temperament combined with awesome conformation will surely mean she’ll be a successful brood mare. It would appear that sore feet due to a mild founder limited her starts as a racehorse, but then we wouldn’t be able to call her ours if she’d won the Oaks! She foaled a grey filly by Second In Command 2011. and is back in foal to Cause to Believe.
Racehorses in 2009
Representing White House Stables in BC were
Ookashada, Jajas Legacy, Ookster, Stylen Jaynee, Mr Funnybones & in California the 3 time winner Bold Lassie. Also raised here & running in BC was stakes winner Golden Ratio for owner breeder Al Kelly.
Racehorses in 2010
Not a stellar year! No stock racing in BC, Major Mac ran 3rd in his first lifetime start at Golden Gate in December. Ookashada having a terrible year in Edmonton with his new owner/trainer. Mr Funnybones ran in the money everytime for his new connections in Alberta.
When your maximum output is 3 babies, & we’ve had 2 years of only one, they get a little thin on the ground.. but with Hello Frankie selling to a great owner/trainer combo hopefully we’ll see the White House youngstock trained & ready to make waves in 2011.
Racehorses in 2011
Halfway through the season and it’s a much more exciting year. Major Mac won his 2nd lifetime start in Seattle.Herbie D who we foaled and raised is making his owner very happy finally, after a shaky year at 2, he has had 2 wins and a 2nd including the Stellar Jay on BC cup day.Next stop for him the BC derby! Golden Ratio managed another win, she’s a little iron horse, and her 3/4 brother, Buzz is a 2 yr old in training for his owner Al Kelly.
Ookashada after being claimed in his first start of the year in Edmonton seems to be running better with every start. Hello Frankie raced 5th as odds on favorite running 3 days after a black letter 5 furlong work & then came back 12 days later to be beaten less then 4 lengths in the Jack Diamond Futurity. George was syndicated and we’re patiently waiting for him to mature, with the shortened racing season in BC, we won’t see him run at 2 in Canada, but will try and have him ready to go in April next year.

Just wanted to let you know that Major Mac is living at my place, in Snohomish county, WA, having been acquired at Emerald Downs by a friend of mine, Gavin Wissler. He is a total sweetheart, and I want to assure you that he is comfortably housed (stalls are 12 x 16, well bedded). He lives next to my 22 year old TB mare (Bric’s Pebble, by Council Rock/Bricpac). I also have Pebble’s youngster, an 8 year old gelding. All my horses are fed only Dynamite Pelleted grain ration and Dynamite vitamins. Also excellent Timothy hay. Mac has been getting Dynahoof to help his torn hooves, which are now looking fine and ready for his second trim here. His small injury is getting treated with QLaser and seems nearly gone; he is behaving like a 3 year old – trotting and cavorting around. Turnout is all day, unless it rains; I am retired and at home, so I let them in in bad weather. He is so easy to handle, very intelligent, and very affectionate – a joy to have around. I know that he was wellhandled as a youngster and thought that you would like to know that he is in good and loving hands. Debby Nicely debbynicely@earthlink.net
