Bedding pellets can be used to provide a soft very absorbent bedding. A 40lb bag will absorb up to 22 gallons of water whilst also reducing ammonia smell. Once a stall is established we find it takes an average of a bag a week to maintain. We find we have a much smaller manure pile [less trips to the muck heap, less work!] that decomposes quickly into wonderful compost for the garden. Storage is simple as the bags can be stored anywhere, even outside, no need to build a costly shed for your bedding! It also makes great bedding for the hen house & laying boxes, keeping eggs cleaner, dry rabbit hutches & a fabulous economical cat litter.
