October Update

Timothy hay test, Thanksgiving closure, new line of hay cubes, and turkeys ready for the weekend!

The analysis of our new 2nd Cut Washington Timothy is in, you can find it on our hay page here (halfway down the page).

We will be closed Sunday October 12th to enjoy our Thanksgiving turkey – if you haven’t reserved yours yet there are still a few available (give us a call or send an email). Pickups start this Thursday at 1pm.

Lastly, we’ve brought in a secondary branch of hay cubes with an all grass hay option at a very affordable price. Ask for the Summit Forage cubes.

2nd Cut Timothy Hay is in!

Our hay barn is brimming with gorgeous 2nd Cut Timothy from Washington. These are three string bales weighing 110lbs – hay analysis is pending but the cow test came back overwhelmingly positive.

We also have compressed bales of 2nd Cut Washongton Timothy in stock (65lb bales)

And have you tried our Kentucky Komfort Platinum wood shavings? They are 100% pine wood and perfect for stalls.

Turkeys, straw, and incoming Timothy hay

We are expecting a delivery of Second Cut Timothy Hay up from Washington before the end of the month – we will update the website when we know an exact day. Stay tuned!

Our free range pasture-fed Nicholas White Turkeys are now available for pre-order. They will be ready for pickup starting October 1st. Sizes estimated to range from 16 – 24 pounds and priced at $5/pound. A $20 deposit is required per order.

Local straw is back in stock! Supplied by Saanichton Farms and perfect for stall bedding – $12/bale.

And if you’re looking for mulching straw we still have bags of organic Garden Straw. One 9kg bag covers 100 square feet at 2″ deep.
